San Angelo is looking at a slight risk of severe weather going into this weekend.

In a statement issued at 8:24 a.m. on April 3, the National Weather Service of San Angelo reported that “isolated to scattered thunderstorms are forecast to develop west of our area late this afternoon into the evening hours.” Said activity is predicted to “increase in coverage this evening and move east, into the forecast area.”

The NWS said that a few of the storms could be strong or even severe with locally heavy rainfall possible.
