The Texas Department of Transportation has lowered the speed limit on U.S. Highway 87 near Wall to 70.

Chad Decker, Tom Green County Commissioner for Precinct 2, said that he was informed of the decision by TxDOT today.

“It was brought to my attention today that TXDOT has lowered the speed limit on US Hwy 87 through Wall to 70 mph,” said Decker in a social media post.

He said that people should share the information, as tickets are already being written.
