A Fort Woth man has died after a high-speed chase with Fort Worth Police overnight Sunday morning.

The FWPD reported that, around 2:30 a.m., a car was spotted with no headlights traveling on Interstate 35 West near Rosedale Street.

Officers said that the car hit another vehicle, and that they then initiated a traffic stop. However, the vehicle then took off at a high rate of speed.

During the chance, according to the FWPD, the vehicle then hit another car and then continued for another 15 miles, during which the FWPD lost sight of the vehicle.

After a search, they found the crashed vehicle at the 1500 block of Tarver Road, where it had gone off the roadway and crashed, police said. 

Police found two men inside the vehicle, the release states. The passenger exited the vehicle with minor injuries while the driver was pronounced dead on the scene, police said.
