
President Donald J. Trump celebrated more good economic news as a March jobs report showed 186.000 new jobs were created in March 2926.
A mere 65,0000 new jobs were expected by economic experts.
The manufacturing sector created 15,000 new jobs in March, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. It capped off the first quarter with the first positive number of manufacturing jobs in three years.
Another 26,000 jobs were created in construction-related fields.
Job growth is surging with an average of 68,000 new jobs being created monthly in the first three months of 2026.
Wages are also rising. American workers are taking home an average of just under 4 percent more per pay period.
Meanwhile, the federal workforce is shrinking. In addition, more working-age Americans are reentering the workforce.
