The Midland RockHounds suffered their first defeat of the 2026 Texas League season with a 9-1 loss to the Frisco RoughRiders at Riders Field.

After twi scoreless innings, the Riders put a six-spot ont he Hounds with a bases-loaded walk that scored Frainyer Chavez to open the scoring. A few batters later, Orlando Martinez would single home Dylan Dreiling. Another single by Marcus Lee Sang would bring home Keyber Rodriguez and John Taylor to make it 4-0 Frisco. Tucker Michael would single home both Orlando Martinez and Lee Sang to make it 6-0 Frisco.

The RockHounds would get their only run in the top of the fourth on a wild pitch that scored Leo De Vries.

The RoughRiders would score three more runs to put the game away with a 9-1 win.
