Ballinger Radio Station KRUN to Sign Off Due to Storm Damage

Ballinger radio station KRUN-AM 1400 will be going off the air today due to storm damage.

The radio station has been on the air since August 1947.

The station reached across Runnels County and the AgriPlex of Central West Texas.

“We are deeply grateful for every listener, advertiser, employee, broadcaster, coach, athlete, farmer, rancher, business owner, and friend who made this station part of their lives,” KRUN said. “Thank you for allowing us into your homes, vehicles, farms, ranches, and businesses for generations.”

A recent storm that produced a tornado ripped off the roof of the station, and subsequent storms have left water damage to the station.
