BREAKING: TRUMP ANNOUNCES END OF IRAN WAR
After more than 100 days of conflict and a cease fire that saw sporadic exchanges of weapons fire from both sides, President Donald J. Trump has announced that the war with Iran is over.
“The Deal with the Islamic Republic of Iran is now complete,” Trump wrote on Truth Social before offering "congratulations to all!”
“I hereby fully authorize the toll-free opening of the Strait of Hormuz and, simultaneously, authorize the immediate removal of the United States Naval blockade,” he said.
“Ships of the World, start your engines. Let the oil flow!” Trump added.
The war began in February after the Islamic Republic of Iran used brutal and deadly force to quell pro-democracy demonstrations in the country that resulted in thousands of dead pro-democracy protesters and a conflict that killed the country’s former Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
The agreement will be signed in the coming days.
The end of the war came through the help of many nations, including Pakistan, Turkiye, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar, among others.
