City of San Angelo Crews Nearing Completion of Part of Chadbourne Upgrades
City crews are nearing completion of a section of Chadbourne Street in Historic Downtown San Angelo.
City of San Angelo officials say they’re hoping to re-open one of the city’s main downtown intersections in the next few weeks. They have been closed due to the downtown revitalization project on North Chadbourne Street.
“It’s been a little frustrating,” Patrick Frerich, operations director, said. “I understand that for the businesses and everything along that section it’s been frustrating. We expected a much, much quicker flow, lesson learned obviously. We’ve made some adjustments in future phases to make sure that we tighten those phases down, we move a little more efficiently. Our contractor has a good grasp on what it takes and what the workflow needs to be to make sure everything moves more efficiently now so our future phases will be much, much more efficient than those first phases. First phase was really just a learning phase, cutting our teeth, getting to know the work.”
Crews are hoping to have the work on the present part of the construction of Chadbourne Street finished by August, according to a report in Concho Valley Homepage.
