Pentagon on Lockdown Following Hazmat Situation

Update: The situation at the Pentagon regarding the chemical spill has been resolved and the all-clear has been given to Pentagon employees and military personnel.

Sections of the Pentagon have been placed on lockdown following a chemical spill.

The incident occurred early this morning and forced officials to cordon off certain areas and declare a shelter in place.

The Pentagon said that it has teams that can support areas of the Pentagon affected by the lockdown order and that Hazmat teams are in place and ready to respond.

Office areas for Secretary of War Pete Hegseth and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Dan Caine, are not affected by the order.
