Teen Dies, Three Injured in Eastland County Rollover Crash

A teenager died today and three others were injured in a rollover accident in Eastland County.

The crash occurred at around 2:20 a.m. on State Highway 6.

The teen has not been identified.

The vehicle they were in, a Chevrolet Tahoe, was reportedly traveling at unsafe speeds when the driver lost control going around a curve. The driver attempted to overcorrect the vehicle and bring it back into the proper lane. The vehicle rolled over as it crashed.

The driver and two passengers were seriously injured, and a 15-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Department of Public Safety said that three of the venicle’s occupants were not wearing seatbelts.
