New Bison Calves Born at San Angelo State Park
Three new bison calves have been born at the San Angelo State Park, and are now moving with the herd, according to the park.
The calves were born recently and are now moving with the herd/ It brings the total number of bison at the park to 45.
“The bison herd here at San Angelo State Park is very important to us,” Macey Bunch, an interpreter at San Angelo State Park said. “We really take pride in showing them off to all our visitors, and even our park staff have a little bit of home when they’re around them.”
She said that the births were a sign that the park was a healthy environment for the animals there.
