Just hours after the Islamic Republic of Iran targeted a U.S. Navy base in Bahrain and another cargo ship in the Strait of Hormuz, President Donald J. Trump issued a warning to the Iranian government that the United States was willing to escalate military action against that nation.

The wording from President Trump came after Iran launched a drone strike against Bahrain, targeting the headquarters of the U.S. Navy’s Fifth Fleet, which is based in the nation.

The cargo ship that was attacked by Iran’s military as it transited the Strait of Hormuz.

Meanwhile, Iran’s currency continues to slide downward in value, and the Israeli Defense Force said that it has killed a key leader of Hamas who helped carry out the October 7, 2023, attacks on Israel that launched the war with that militant group.
